Hama Mini Beads are the very smallest beads we make, just 2.5 mm in diameter. This size is designed for children from 10 years, but many adults like to work with these beads too, instead of doing cross-stitch. Very detailed designs can be made thanks to the small size of the beads. But you need patience!
Our Mini Beads are available in 49 different colours.

Hama Midi Beads are 5.0 mm in diameter and can be used in three different ways: you can iron them, press them or sew them together to make designs.
The ironing system is probably the one you’re most familiar with. The beads are placed one by one on a pegboard and then ironed (remember to get an adult to do this bit!) until they’ve fused together.
In the case of the press system, the beads are placed on a pegboard made up of a special kind of pegs. These come with pegs either on one side only, or on both sides. You won’t be able to remove the beads once you’ve placed them on the pegboard.
You can also sew your beads together to make beautiful designs.
Midi Beads are available in 52 different colours, including 3 glow in the dark.

Our Maxi Beads are designed for young children who haven’t yet developed their motor skills to an extent where they can handle the beads in our other systems.
These large beads, 10 mm in diameter, are easy for little fingers to place on the pegboards, and they can be ironed once the design´s complete. In other words, our Maxi Beads are part of the ironing system.
As well as our various product categories, we’re constantly bringing out new pegboards in different shapes. This means that we’re always providing new opportunities for play with Hama Beads.
